Croatia is a first for our club.  Here is the information you need to make an informed decision about travel, hotels, and our itinerary. We hope you will join us.

Air travel - You cannot fly direct to Dubrovnik from the U.S.. Gateway cities are Amsterdam, Barcelona, Zurich, Venice, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin and Rome. From one of these you can fly to Dubrovnik. Note your air connections carefully, many have lengthy layovers between flights.

There is a bus from the Dubrovnik airport (code is DBV) to town.  You might consider staying over 1 or 2 days in a gateway city in both directions.

I am considering doing something like this.  Fly to Venice or Amsterdam, stay 2 nights, fly to Dubrovnik on 4/29, get on bike and boat trip, stay in Dubrovnik 1 or 2 nights after bike tour, fly to Munich or Barcelona, stay 1 or 2 nights, fly home. 3 countries visited!  12-14 nights total.

Bus info here   http://www.atlas-croatia.com/arrangement/dubrovnik-airport-shuttle-bus/

Hotels and AirBnb - There are inexpensive hotel options in Dubrovnik. Start with a search engine like Trip Advisor or Kayak and go from there. I usually book direct when possible.  AirBnb had some very interesting properties available but note that Dubrovnik is on the side of a steep hill and it might take quite a few steps to get to your accommodations. Personally I will go for the steps and the view! Feel free to join me for an evening cocktails.    AirBnb Dubrovnik

Our boat - The Harmonia is a modern and efficient vessel with 16 cabins. We have chartered the entire boat.                   More boat info here.  https://www.tripsite.com/bike-boat/boats/comfort-plus/harmonia/

E-bikes - Everyone gets an e-bike, which is included in the cost.

Itinerary - This is the itinerary from 2017.  It's subject to change.    Itinerary

Tipping - It is customary to tip the crew and guide approximately 5 to 7% of the trip price at the end of the tour. That's approximately 85 to 115 Euros depending upon your satisfaction.

Trip Insurance - Our club strongly recommends trip insurance. We provide this link as a courtesy. We do not give insurance advice. Read and understand your policy before buying insurance.   Information on that is here.  trip insurance
