Join us for an incredible 3-night Fall getaway to the Berkshires! We'll be staying at the Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires right on the shores of beautiful Pontoosuc Lake. The region features something for everyone, so this can be a "Choose Your Own Adventure" style trip! We'll be coordinating a group whitewater rafting trip for September 23 (see below) and will also plan a day of cycling along a local rail trail. There is ziplining, aerial adventures, apple-picking, and several well-known museums. Take a hike or a drive up Mount Greylock to take in the sights, or go easy and lounge on the lakeshore at the cottages. Our host offers free use of the waterfront, docks, patio, kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, peddle boat, life jackets, and more, so there's no pressure to even leave the grounds.
The $439 cost includes 3 nights accommodations in one of the "cottages." This is a condo-style arrangement where we will share a multi-bedroom fully equipped cottage. Most rooms have a single King Bed per bedroom, so the trip is best suited to couples (or really good friends!) that are willing to share a bed. We do have two rooms that offer two queens per room, which will be sold on a first-come basis. If you would like to go but do not have a roommate, please let me know and I will try to accommodate.
Whitewater Rafting: We will reserve a half day (12:45p - 5:15p) whitewater rafting trip along the Fife Brook section of the Deerfield River. It is a dam-release river featuring class II rapids with one class III section. A riverside picnic-style lunch is included, along with a slide show, and all necessary equipment (wetsuits available, sometimes free, sometimes for a small fee). The rafting trip is optional, not included in the base price, and costs $80 per person (including all taxes and fees).
